ReplyHi Traci. Sure, I'll post it here. Worth a try! I think it was awesome.
It was super simple. To be honest, I was winging it (no set measurements on some items, but this is about what I used): Sauce
2 cans of Furmano crushed tomatoes
2 cans of Furmano or Cento pureed tomatoes
1 small can of tomato paste
4-5 cloves of garlic
EVOOMeatballs:
1 lb. of ground meat trio (veal, beef, pork)
3 eggs
¼-1/2 yellow onion
3 cloves of garlic
¼ c. Parmesan cheese (fresh shaved)
1-2 T. parsley
2 t. oregano
1-1 ½ c. breadcrumbsMince (I use a chopper) garlic and onion
Combine all meatball mix, form into balls
Add two swirls of EVOO to large stock pot
Fry meatballs, browning on all sides (no need to cook through)
Add sauce ingredients (do not drain pan, leave drippings and balls in bottom)
Simmer for 3-4 hours -

ReplyStill too early to call, but a stripping M&M and a Chevy truck to last until the end of the world have been my favorites so far.

Thanks, Just. She had a blast, and the dirty looks are worth it for me. She loved it. ;)
