CALIFORNIA — Spring has finally sprung, which means Easter is right around the corner.
Easter is on Sunday, April 20, this year, and there are plenty of springtime events scheduled across California. To help you plan for your little bunnies, Patch has curated a list of the best Easter egg hunts, bunny brunches and other festive events in the Golden State.

Northern California
Easter Bunny: Meet-and-greet the Easter Bunny at the San Francisco Zoo. In addition to photo opportunities, there will be arts and crafts for kids in the Sculpture Garden near the Elinor Friend Playground.

Easter Bunny Arrives by Helicopter: The Easter Bunny will arrive by helicopter April 19 at Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos. Kids can get an Easter egg from the Easter Bunny and enjoy face painting, a bounce house and model train displays.
Easter Celebration: Easter weekend is always hoppin' at Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park in Gilroy. The limited-time event is free with regular park admission and for all 2025 members.

Easter Egg Hunt: Kids of all ages can hunt for eggs on the lawn at Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco. The annual event takes place the weekend before Easter and includes a photo booth with the Easter Bunny, games, crafts, live music and prizes.
Easter Egg Hunts: Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay will be open for the Easter season. The farm will host Easter egg hunts on Easter weekend and the weekend prior. Other activities include pony rides, hay and train rides, bounce houses, a petting zoo and more.
Easter on the Farm: The Agricultural History Project is hosting its annual Easter on the Farm April 12 at Agricultural History Project Center and Museum in Watsonville. The free event will include egg hunts, arts and crafts, hayrides, tractors, face painting and Easter Bunny photo opportunities.
Easter Speggtacular: The Easter Bunny is on the way to Pixieland Amusement Park in Concord. Kids will get a special treat as they exit rides at the whimsical amusement park on April 20. The Easter Bunny will also make appearances throughout the day.
Egg Hunt and Learning Festival: The one-day carnival of fun and learning, open to all for free, is slated April 12 at the UC Berkeley campus.
Eggstraordinary Easter Egg Hunt: The Easter Bunny is making a stop at Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton. Families can hop aboard the Redwood Forest Steam Train to Bear Mountain for an Easter egg hunt and festive activities.
Magical Easter Brunch: Enjoy brunch with the Easter Bunny at the historic Tilden Park Merry-Go-Round in Berkeley. The brunch buffet includes an egg hunt, meet-and-greet with the Easter Bunny and unlimited carousel rides.

Southern California
Beyond Blindness Beeper Egg Hunt: This special egg hunt returns April 12 to Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort, in collaboration with Beyond Blindness and the Orange County Sheriff's Department. This year, 250 students, ages 1 to 22, and their family members will gather for a sensory egg hunt, featuring beeping eggs donated by the OC Sheriff's Department.
Bunny Train: Hop aboard the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum's Bunny Train on a journey through San Diego County's picturesque countryside in a train decked out with colorful Easter cheer. The train departs on Saturdays and Sundays from April 5 through April 20.
Easter Brunch Buffet: Celebrate Easter with a festive brunch or dinner buffet at Storytellers Cafe in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa in Anaheim. The special brunch or dinner features appearances from beloved Disney characters.
Easter Eggstravaganza: Irvine Park Railroad's annual springtime event runs March 22 through April 19. Activities include Easter egg hunts, Easter Bunny photos, hay rides, train rides, carnival games, crafts and more.
Egg Bowl: The annual Egg Bowl is slated March 29 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena. The event will include egg hunts, family-friendly activities, games, arts and crafts, inflatable games and more.
Eggstravaganza: Search for character-themed "eggs" throughout Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. The special scavenger hunts takes place March 25 to April 21.
Elmo's Eggstravaganza: Sesame Place San Diego is celebrating Easter from March 22 through April 20. The event will feature an Easter egg scavenger hunt, Easter-themed dance party, storytime, golden egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny and pictures with Sesame Street friends dressed in their Easter best.
Spring Family Eggstravaganza: This event features a helicopter egg drop, as well as an egg hunt, inflatables, face painting, petting zoo and more April 19 at La Bonita Park in La Habra.
Springtime Easter Festival: Celebrate Easter on the farm! Underwood Family Farms is hosting a variety of family-friendly springtime activities March 22 through April 21 at Moorpark Farm Center in Moorpark.
The Giant Easter Egg Hunt: Hunt for hundreds of colorful eggs scattered across the grounds of at Mountain View Community Center in San Diego. There will also be crafts, games, prizes, face painting, and of course, the Easter Bunny.
