The Queen Mary is much beloved. I participated in the night market on Friday 13th, at the movie showing: Practical Magic. You might ask what I have to sell at a night market. I've been working all year to develop the Makersville 'store'. Currently in the store we have buttons, jigsaw puzzles, purse mirrors, bunnies, black cats, softie hearts, youth art on fabric, a quilt in work, Build a Minifig, Dragon and snake making in LEGO bricks. We have a handmade game to go with all of the handmade items. Play the game for $5., you could win a prize. We had lots of winners that night! There were over 1300 people present, not including vendors. With your movie ticket, you can come early and go on the Queen Mary for free! The next movie nights are July 16 (The Goonies) and August 6 (Ratatouille). Tickets for the evening (movie, night market and ship) are available here.
There are other ways to get onto the Queen Mary for free.
You could follow instagram @N.o3QM to know when the popup speakeasy, N.o3 is going to be open. It will be announced a day or two in advance, perhaps more, and you need to know the password, which is also announced on the Instagram account, albeit a couple of hours before the start of the event. Whisper the password when you arrive to be able to board the ship for free. You will still need to navigate to the speakeasy entrance. I'll describe it here, but you may have to ask when you get there. We followed someone who knew where they were going. We took the elevator to the 4th floor and went across the gangway to the staircase. We took the staircase down 2 flights, then headed in the direction of the bow of the ship. The entrance to N.o3 was marked by a sign (Video). I took some videos, and you can check it out here. The ship entry is free, the speakeasy entry is free, parking is $10. (discounted). Alcoholic drinks are $15. non-alcoholic (e.g. water) are a few $$. There is olde-timey music, peformed by Ashley Anne and the Carnations (video) and swing dancers of all ages are encouraged to attend (video)!
