The Non Profit Partnership Kicks off the Long Beach Gives Campaign
Long Beach Gives is a single day of giving for struggling non profits that work in Long Beach.

People who start things need help getting started. Help comes in many forms. Volunteering and other in-kind donations are valuable, but especially for those organizations that are trying to staff positions, the challenges are real.
As an example, I will share part of the campaign of a non-profit near and dear to me. Makersville Services, and a cause - also near and dear to me - Makersville. Makersville is a community space in Shoreline Village.

It's taken some time for Makersville Services to get to the point of some coordination for this campaign. The first year, I set up the page and made a donation. A friend (Mary), also made one. The second year, we did the same and both Mary and another friend, Michelle, made a donation. I suppose it could become exponential, but it's not yet so.
This year, we have added several program and project leaders, each of which has their own campaign, but it is their first year, so maybe they will get one or two, or maybe they will get 200!
