Queen Mary Dark Harbor Staffing Interviews Wednesday 8/13/2024 5-9 PM

The Dark Harbor has been an annual Halloween staple for Southern California. It returns this fall, but they need you, the actors and staff!

My first question was - is it paid? I mean, at conventions I have to pay to be part of the scene... I knew the readers - you - would want to know. The answer is YES! So... if you want a fun weekend opportunity to scare away the time and be part of the scene, you can join the Queen Mary Dark Harbor crew - it pays too!

I've been at the Queen Mary for three months in a row. You see, there's the night market, which brings the community - you - out for an evening of shopping, food trucks and free admission to the ship. But it's summer only, so you'll have to wait another year to find me at the Queen Mary with the Wild Bunnies of the LBC, and the Handmade Carnival! The next night market will be in June, 2025, so put it on your calendar! There are still lots of fun activities that you can participate in, some are free with free admission.

At the last night market, we saw an old favorite, the Ringmaster. Dressed in her Halloween best, she was there to promote the return of the Dark Harbor attraction.

It had occurred to me sometime in the past that Dark Harbor is our Disneyland. It is an immersive experience in scares! I have spent many Halloween nights at the Queen Mary's Dark Harbor. I'm easily scared. You can find me backing out of tunnels, and surrounding myself with friends as we walk through the many mazes.

Before the production can open, there is a lot to be done. Event and acting staff must be found.

I got the scoop from Maricela, who has worked on recruitment from previous productions of Dark Harbor. The production runs on Thursdays-Sundays. They are flexible in how many days you work, but they ask that you work at least one premium weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Wednesday August 14th from 5PM to 9PM is the last big scheduled hiring event. Interested actors should arrive prepared to demonstrate their scaring skills. Event staff are also needed.

To apply, you can also use the QR Code in the flyer on this post.

Scare you at the Dark Harbor!
