Register a Team for the Rube Goldberg Competition
Students in elementary, middle, high school and college can compete for prizes in the Rube Goldberg Contest.
On March 24th, 2024, Makersville Services will host the local Rube Goldberg competition at Long Beach City College, 1305 Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach, CA.
Who doesn't love Rube Goldberg machines? We watch these and wonder at the inventiveness of the individual who created the machine. Some are simple, and seen at science fairs, others are very complex and seen only on videos.
One famous video is the OK Go video that was filmed locally in Los Angeles , and included the work of 55-60 artists, creatives and engineers. That video has now had over 73 million views, the first million being accomplished within days of publication.
