HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — An Orange County city is looking to commission a mural in honor of slain right wing activist Charlie Kirk.

The Huntington Beach City Council voted to establish an ad-hoc committee that will explore the creation of a tribute to Kirk and the principles of "freedom and speech" during a special meeting late September.

Councilmember Chad Williams will lead the committee alongside Councilmember Andrew Gruel and Mayor Pat Burns. The committee will be in charge of identifying a suitable site for the mural, according to the city.
