- Firefighters discovered what they describe as βpossible human remainsβ inside a burning car on the I-70 near the Grand Junction Motor Speedway. Authorities have not revealed the cause of the fire or the individual's identity. (Western Slope Now)
- Did you know that the city received a grant of $2.3 million that is earmarked for the North Avenue Enhanced Transit Corridor Improvements? What does this mean practically? The funds will βallow the city to build approximately 1ΒΌ miles of additional detached sidewalk on North Avenue.β (The Daily Sentinel/paywall)
- The good news is that home prices in Mesa County are up. According to insiders, there has been a 30 percent increase. The bad news is that building permit applications are 54 percent lower than last year. (KJCT 8)
- How are things going with universal preschool in Mesa County? We learned earlier that, so far, some 1,000 families have applied for the nine-month tuition credit, βand over 800 have been matched in round one.β Thereβs still room for your kids between ages three and four! (ABC)
