BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Nissan pickup truck smashed into the Convent of Mary Immaculate and its Mary Immaculate Day Care Center on Wordin Avenue in Bridgeport on Thursday, according to police. BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Nissan pickup truck smashed into the Convent of Mary Immaculate and its Mary Immaculate Day Care Center on Wordin Avenue in Bridgeport on Thursday, according to police.

No injuries were reported in the crash, and "all children and staff were accounted for," said Shawnna White, Bridgeport's Public Information Officer, told Patch. Additional details about the crash were not immediately available.
