Darien Business Owner Remembered For 'Love And Devotion' To Others

Annabel Houx Marisca, who co-founded a local fitness club in Darien, died recently at the age of 51, her obituary says.

DARIEN, CT — Annabel Houx Marisca, a fitness club owner and longtime Darien resident, died last Sunday at the age of 51.

Marisca co-founded CST50, a fitness club with locations in Darien and Westport, according to her obituary.

"Annabel loved fitness and was the strongest woman you would ever know. Her dedication to it was only surpassed by her love and devotion to her family and friends. She was truly selfless and constantly put others' needs ahead of her own, especially when it came to her children," her obituary says, noting she was "a proud hockey and lacrosse mom in Darien."

Originally from Greenwich, a bio on the CST50 website says, Marisca worked in the financial services industry with several companies after graduating from Simmons College in 1994.

Marisca leaves behind three children and her husband, whom she was married to for 20 years, her obituary says.

A celebration of life for Marisca was scheduled for Fiday at Pear Tree Point Beach in Darien.
