On that date, police previously announced, Greenwich detectives executed a search warrant Chimblo's home after the department received "reliable information he was illegally in possession of firearms."
Detectives recovered four assault rifles, two shotguns, five handguns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, dozens of magazines both regular and high capacity, and hundreds of gun parts used for building and altering firearms, police said.
An arrest warrant charging Chimblo with criminal possession of a firearm was issued, and he was later located in Westchester County, N.Y., and arrested, police added.
Chimblo was extradited to Connecticut and charged in Greenwich on Sept. 9, police said.
Police noted at the time an investigation into Chimblo was ongoing. The latest arrest warrant was issued on Oct. 6.
