Occupation:
Consultant - Self-Employed

Family:

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
Two sons work for the US Government, active duty Marines

Previous public office, appointive or elective:
Yes, two term Greenwich Representative Town Meeting (RTM)

Why are you seeking this office?
For 98 of the last 100 years, the Greenwich Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET) under Republican leadership has balanced affordability with outstanding community benefits. This was achieved through low taxes, proper budget oversight and prudent capital spending. Nationally and locally common-sense government management is at risk. I am running for the Greenwich BET to keep the Town thriving, maintain a sense of community and affordable.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Affordability. Our BET plan is to support the Greenwich Public Schools, invest wisely in GPS and Town infrastructure, continue to provide superior services to our seniors and youth, including through increased safety measures and recreational facilities, while diligently monitoring the Town's budget (expenditures), endeavor to maintain our Town's triple-A rating and keeping the mill rate at the lowest levels in Connecticut.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Experience and Team Player. My professional background includes accounting, finance and consulting, including an MBA (NYU), a CPA (4 years - Ernst & Young), three decades on Wall Street (18 years - Morgan Stanley & 11 years - Wells Fargo) and most recently as a self-employed consultant. Additionally, I’ve had the honor of serving the Town of Greenwich as a second term elected officially on the Town of Greenwich’s RTM representing District 6 (Old Greenwich) and as a second term member of the Town’s Affordable Housing Board (Secretary of the Board). With 2 active-duty US Marines in our family (sons) and a retired Marine (husband), I am honored to serve as the Co-Head of the Military Moms of Greenwich. Non-profit board positions I’ve held include Fairfield Preparatory School, Fairfield University Endowment Sub-Committee (Ad Hoc member), University of California, Merced Foundation and Lucas Point Association. While on boards I’ve had experience in navigating conflicts and arriving at consensus resolutions. The ability to deal with difficult people/situations and come to positive conflict resolution is a tool I plan to utilize if elected to the BET.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Affordability, Low Taxes and Smart Capital Spending

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Professional and board experiences previously mentioned.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Get married, have children, don't let work get in the way.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am honored to serve the Town of Greenwich.
