Several Roads Impacted By Nor'Easter In Greenwich: Police

Heavy rain and strong winds are impacting the region Monday.

GREENWICH, CT — Several roads in Greenwich are being impacted by the nor'easter that's moving up the East Coast Monday, according to the Greenwich Police Department.

As of 2 p.m. on Monday, road closures included the single-digit block of Peck Avenue, and the 50-block of Cherry Valley Road.

Partial road closures are reported at the 250-block of Pemberwick Road, the 80-block of Richmond Hill Road, the 50-block of Brookridge Drive, and the single-digit block of Grass Island.

Debris on the roadway shoulder has been reported on Brookridge Drive, Porchuck Road and Maple Drive.

Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and avoid affected areas until the roadways have been cleared and reopened.

Several thousand Connecticut residents are waking up to no power as a strong nor-easter storm continues to impact our weather on Monday.

In Greenwich, as of 2:15 p.m., there was 115 customers without power, according to the Eversource outage map.

Rain moved into the area Sunday. Not much has changed Monday as wind gusts could reach up to 45 mph at times, especially along the shoreline, and total rainfall could reach three inches by early Tuesday.
