The company closed its other Hartford site in June 2023.

HARTFORD, CT — For the second time since 2023, a prominent movie theater in Hartford has closed.

It was taken over by Apple Cinemas in the fall of 2020 amid post-pandemic reopening efforts.

The cinema features a massive, five-story-tall screen and a 6,000-watt sound system.

With this closure, Connecticut's capital city now has no commercial movie theaters, but there are still nonprofit options locally.

Real Art Ways (at 56 Arbor St. in Parkville) and Cinestudio (on Trinity College's campus) are both theaters serving the Greater Hartford community.
