Bubba ate everyone’s leftovers and drank all their diet coke (his favorite). He eventually moved into his own apartment but came home every night to “grocery shop” and eat dinner with his family. He loved country music and blasted it all the time. He went to several concerts with his friends and a big one every year with his family. Bubba lived his life with no fear and the way he wanted to.

Bubba was a wild spirit, and a very young soul. He had a passion for hunting and fishing since the day he could walk. He loved living life on the wild side with Harley’s, boats, and his big red truck. His favorite times were on the boat fishing, or in the woods hunting duck. Anyone who knew Bubba knew he could play hard and sleep harder. He had quite the sense of humor and was always ready with a hilarious retort. He was very sharp. He lived in his Carhartts, and big work boots. His family were his best friends and he was theirs.

Bubba spent every Sunday religiously on the boat with his Dad, and Big Bapa catching all this fish. We hope all the Fluke, Striper, deer, and birds can now breathe a sigh of relief. He loved going hunting with his grandfather Eddy, and uncle Aaron. He loved the many fabulous vacations with his Grandma Bear. He enjoyed visiting his Nana and Grandpa up in Maine and fishing off the dock. He spent many nights playing Cribbage with his Dad and brother while eating Mom’s last hostess cupcake.

We as a family were so lucky to have him, even for a short time. Bubba would give you the shirt off his back, pull your truck out of a ditch at 3am, or give you a ride anywhere anytime. He will be loved, missed, and cherished forever. How lucky he was to go huntin, fishin, and lovin every day.

His family would love to see all of his friends for calling hours on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 4-7 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. Burial will be private at the request of his family. No sadness or tears allowed. We want to hear your funny stories of Bubba and please dress casually with your favorite concert t-shirt, or camouflage clothing or your favorite sweatshirt.
