2 Harvard doctors wrote in WSJ that many doctors are spending more time on computers and less time listening to patients - EHR diagnos code
Dr.Gardner and Levinson wrote that Electronics Health Records/Medical Records have made many doctors to spend more time on Computers -searching for Diagnosis codes to bill.
Part of the reason is to offset the increase in IT spending as part of operating expenses.
Unfortunately the patients gets less time as these doctors have to limit their time to meet daily quota set by their employers.

So if you see a Gastroenterologist --their employers --require them to send them to their facility which charges far more for Colonoscopy or Endoscopy or other tests. If you ask ,"How much would it cost?"--the GI doctor will give you a runaround answer--never the full costs that includes the FACILITY COST--because they know it is too High and far more than an independent facility.
If you see a Family practitioner,their employer wants to search the EHR system--for codes--and then suggest to you to get those expensive tests and procedures--not paying attention to your questions--like where can I get these tests/procedure for less costs. Every practitioner is given a daily quota by their employers to increase total BILLINGS.
