LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The location of a former Arby's on Randall Road in Lake in the Hills will soon be serving up Jack in the Box burgers. The Lake in the Hills opening in the coming weeks will be the first Jack in the Box to pop back up in the northern Illinois suburbs.
After a 40-year absence, Jack in the Box announced in recent months it would be making its return to the Chicago area, with the addition of restaurants throughout suburbs. Among the soon-to-open restaurants is a new Jack in the Box at 320 N. Randall Road in Lake in the Hills, which formerly housed an Arby's, according to the company's website.
According to the Jack in the Box website, the new location will open in August. An employee at the restaurant told those stopping by the location -- hoping to pickup lunch on Thursday -- that the restaurant is set to open on Aug. 18.
