AURORA, IL — One person was minorly injured in a house fire that broke out Sept. 18 in the 200 block of Ashland Court, the Aurora Fire Department said Monday.

Four engines, two trucks, two medic units and two chief officers — for a total of 24 personnel — responded to the single-family home at 12:17 p.m. Crews found a fire in a three-season room attached to the back of the property and deployed hose lines to contain and extinguish it. The fire was contained to the room in which it started.

The adult resident sustained a minor wrist injury and was assessed by medics on the scene but declined hospital transport.
