Business Cited For Selling Alcohol To Minor: Aurora PD
Eight other businesses were in compliance, the Aurora Police Department found.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora business has been cited after an employee failed to card an underage employee, an undercover Aurora Police Department sting revealed.
The Aurora Police Department conducts periodical undercover details to ensure alcohol and tobacco aren't sold to minors. This time, cadets, who are all under the age of 21, attempt to purchase alcohol or tobacco from nine businesses. Eight complied, and one failed, officials said Tuesday.
An employee at Shell, 407 S. Lake St., was issued a notice to appear in court for violating the City of Aurora ordinance.

These businesses were in compliance:
- Randall Liquors, 1660 N. Randall Road
- Express Mobile Mart, 1030 N. Lake St.
- Mobil Gas Station, 300 S. Broadway
- Foremost Liquors, 178 S. Broadway
- Maya's World Smoke and Vape, 261 E. Indian Trail
- Amoco Gas Station, 2112 Ogden Ave.
- Extra Value Liquors, 2370 S. Eola Road
- BP, 2595 Ogden Ave.
"Preventing the sale of alcohol and tobacco to underage individuals is a responsibility we take seriously," Special Operations Group Lieutenant Christopher McWilliams said in a statement. "We appreciate the efforts of the businesses that remain in compliance, and we will continue these checks to ensure others follow suit and our community stays protected."
