‘Criminal Incident’ In Aurora Poses No Threat: APD

AURORA, IL — A “criminal incident” was being investigated Wednesday morning in the 900 block of South Lake Street, Aurora police said.

A large police presence was gathered on the block, but the incident posed “no ongoing threat to the community,” officials said in a Facebook alert posted at about 9:30 a.m.

Police asked the community to avoid the area and use alternate routes while officers conducted their investigation. The scene was cleared by 11 a.m., officials said in an update.
