K9 Training Underway In Aurora

Aurora police are asking locals to give officers and dogs space while they conduct their training exercises.

AURORA, IL — The Aurora Police Department K9 teams are conducting training Thursday in the 1600 block of Grove Street.

Teams are using vacant homes on the block for training exercises that began at 8 a.m. and are scheduled to last until 4 p.m.

"Please give the officers and K9s space to work while they conduct these important exercises," officials wrote in an alert on Facebook. "Thank you for your cooperation!"
