Wanted Gunman ID'd, Still On The Loose After Shooting Near Fox Valley Mall: Police
Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911, police said.

AURORA, IL — Aurora police have identified the at-large shooter wanted in an early morning attack that injured two men near Fox Valley Mall.
Police are looking for 24-year-old Aaron Conely of Aurora, authorities said, adding he is 6-foot-1, weighs about 185 pounds and was last seen wearing all-black clothing.
“If Conley is located in the community, the public is advised not to approach him and to contact APD immediately via 9-1-1 or 630-256-5000,” Aurora police said in a news release.

Officers responded shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday to the shooting in the 500 block of Station Boulevard, where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds near a basketball court, according to police.
A 20-year-old in critical condition and a 19-year-old with injuries that were not life-threatening were taken to local hospitals, police said.

“Preliminary investigation revealed this was an isolated incident between known acquaintances,” police said. “A firearm was recovered at the scene and there is currently no indication of an ongoing threat to the public. The suspect fled the scene, and law enforcement is actively searching for him.”
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, police had advised nearby residents to stay inside and the public to avoid the area.
