Couple Threatened Outside La Grange Restaurant: Police
A woman held a board with nails in it and asked a couple who they were looking at, authorities said.

LA GRANGE, IL – A couple told officers last month that a stranger had threatened them outside a La Grange restaurant.
Patch obtained the police report through a public records request.
Shortly before noon Feb. 20, a 68-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman got out of their car at the Original Pancake House, 942 S. La Grange Road, according to the report.

At the same time, a 53-year-old Romeoville woman exited her car, holding a two-by-four board with nails in it, police said.
The woman was then quoted as telling the couple, "What are you looking at?"

She then lifted the board over her right shoulder, police said.
The couple then walked back to their car and called the police, who put out a description to neighboring agencies.
Shortly after, a Hodgkins officer spotted the woman's car and pulled her over near Honey Jam Cafe in Countryside. A board with nails was found in the woman's car, police said.
She was taken to the La Grange police station, declining to speak with officers.
Later, though, the woman made spontaneous statements about the incident. An officer documented her comments in a separate report, which police did not furnish.
The woman was charged with aggravated assault and then released.
