Western Springs Business Victim Of $5K Forgery: Cops

In another case, money was stolen from a locker at the high school, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Forgery

  • A business in the 1000 block of Burlington Avenue wrote a $5,114 check to an employee, but the employee never received it. The bank stated the check was cashed by someone else. The forgery was reported Feb. 25. Police did not identify the business.

Locker theft

  • A student at Lyons Township High School's South Campus, 4900 Willow Springs Boulevard, told police Feb. 26 that someone stole $60 from a locker.

Suspended license

  • A 27-year-old La Grange Park woman was cited about 9 p.m. Feb. 23 at Ogden and Central avenues on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding.
