Back by popular demand, Canton's Northern Spy is launching its series of hands-on cooking and cocktail classes, offering guests the opportunity to learn from experts along the way. Attendees can expect to gain insider tips and techniques to elevate their culinary and mixology skills.
Guests who complete all three classes will receive a $25 gift card to Northern Spy.

Pickle Making 101

Making pickles at home is a fun way to extend the shelf life of your garden veggies. Learn how to make a hot pour over vinegar pickles like dilly beans, how to infuse vinegar to use in a salad dressing or a garnish and how to make a brined fermented pickle like sauerkraut or Kimchi. Chef Marc Sheehan will guide guests step-by-step through the pickle-making process. Class includes one complimentary drink and light snacks.
America’s First Cocktail, the Sazerac, and all that Jazz!

Discover the fascinating history of one of America’s first cocktails: the Sazerac. From its humble roots at Peychaud’s Pharmacy to modern status as a mainstay on cocktail lists around the world, General Manager Brian Kuhlen will trace the story of the Sazerac and the evolution of American cocktails. Class includes one complimentary brandy Sazerac, one rye Sazerac and house-made gumbo.

Chef Marc Sheehan will guide guests through how to make cinnamon rolls from start to finish. Guests will learn how to make dough (the trickiest part) and take home recipes for the dough, filling and glaze. Attendees will roll, fill, cut and prep their own cinnamon rolls to bake at home. Class includes one complimentary drink per attendee and light snacks.
