Lynnfield Man Found Dead In Lynnfield Home Victim Of Trauma, 'Apparent Homicide'

The Essex County District Attorney's Office said there is no apparent wider threat to the public.

LYNNFIELD, MA — The 55-year-old Lynnfield man found dead of what the Essex County District Attorney's Office said was an "apparent homicide" has been identified.

Lynnfield Police Chief and Essex DA Paul Tucker said Timothy O'Neil, 55, was found suffering from what the police called "trauma" at a home on Lookout Terrace at about 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they do not believe there is a wider threat to the public, but had not identified any suspects or persons of interests as of Monday morning.

The Lynnfield Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Detective Unity and the state Medical Examiner's Officer were investigating the death.
