Child Struck By Vehicle In Concord’s South End: Reports
Concord police are investigating a crash on South State Street on Friday afternoon. A second crash was reported on South Main Street.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a crash involving a vehicle and a child on South State Street on Friday afternoon.
Around 3 p.m., police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the area of Thompson and South State streets for a crash with injury. A vehicle reportedly struck a child in between Thompson and Concord streets.
Both sides of the road were closed to traffic when police arrived. Concord firefighters and Bow EMTs arrived to assist.

The child was taken to Concord Hospital around 3:15 p.m.
Police also spoke to witnesses, according to scanner chatter.

A second crash was reported at South Main and Pillsbury streets. Police, Concord firefighters, and Bow EMTs were sent to the scene. When firefighters arrived, they reported a small fire in one of the vehicles.
After the fire was extinguished, two drivers were evaluated by Bow EMTs, and an officer reported the street would be down to one lane.
Tow trucks were requested to the scene to remove the vehicles.
