Zone B Concord Board Of Education Candidates Discuss Issues Facing SAU 8
Incumbent Cara Meeker and challenger Jeff Wells seek to represent Wards 5, 6, and 7, in the Zone B Board of Education seat.

CONCORD, NH — Two of the three Zone Board of Education seats in Concord will be contested in November.
One of those seats is the Zone B seat to represent Wards 5, 6, and 7 on the school board. Jeff Wells is challenging Cara Meeker for the three-year seat. Meeker was first elected in 2022.
The candidates discussed issues facing SAU 8 in late September. Those issues included the board rushing to have a lame duck vote to approve a middle school project despite there being on state aid, property taxes not being reduced after projects and debt were paid off, the aftermath of two charter amendments approved last November, the tenor of board members and their meetings, and aspects they would look for in a new school superintendent having.
