Rhode Island Trucker Injured During Crash On Interstate 95 In North Hampton NH
Aaron Carpenter of Providence, RI, was taken to the hospital after firefighters cut through trees to free him from the cab Sunday morning.

NORTH HAMPTON, NH — A trucker from Rhode Island was taken to the hospital Sunday morning after a crash on Interstate 95 in North Hampton, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Troopers responded to the crash of a box truck around 9:30 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway. When they arrived, they found a 2014 Freightliner M2 off the highway and into the tree line, about 50 feet down an embankment. Aaron Carpenter, 42, of Providence, RI, was trapped in the cab of the truck, but fire and rescue teams worked to cut through the trees and free him, according to a report. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to a preliminary investigation, Carpenter was driving “when, for reasons that remain under investigation,” he turned to the right and went off the road, the report stated.

The right lane of the highway was closed for about five hours during the investigation, cleanup, and removal of the truck. North Hampton Fire and Rescue and the Greenland Fire Department assisted troopers at the crash scene.
