Woman Stabbed 2-Year-Old Brother In Brick Home, Prosecutors Say
A Brick Township woman is accused of stabbing her 2-year-old brother in their home in Brick, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said Sunday.
Marlene Rodriguez, 20, has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and endangering the welfare of a child in the incident that happened Saturday, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

3-Alarm Fire Torches Gloucester Township Apartment Complex, 5 Injured
Five people were injured early Saturday morning when a three-alarm fire ripped through a Gloucester Township apartment complex, according to officials.
Officers and firefighters evacuated the building, which consisted of 42 apartments and housed more than 100 people.

Route 55 Crash Kills Driver
A 63-year-old man was killed and eight people were injured in a fiery crash on Route 55 in Gloucester County on Saturday night, according to State Police.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. in Elk Township when two southbound vehicles — a Jeep and a Nissan SUV — collided, authorities said. The initial collision caused a second crash between the Jeep and a southbound Ford passenger vehicle. The Jeep stopped in the center median and became engulfed in flames, killing the driver, authorities said.

Victim Airlifted With Life-Threatening Injuries In South Jersey Hit-And-Run
A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries after a vehicle struck them Sunday on a South Jersey roadway and fled the scene, police said.
The incident happened around 5:55 p.m. in the intersection of South and Garfield avenues in Bridgeton, authorities said. The driver fled before police arrived, according to law enforcement.
