Avnos' Carbon Dioxide Removal R&D Facility Opens In Bridgewater
Avnos is building direct air capture technology to accelerate the removal of legacy emissions and help carbon removal reach gigaton scale.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Avnos welcomed Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. and Bridgewater Township officials to its newly-opened Bridgewater R&D facility.
Kean and Bridgewater officials toured the facility to see Avnos' R&D process up close, hear directly from constituent employees, and learn about the growth of the company since its opening.
The tour also included a discussion of the broader goals of Avnos and Rep. Kean including boosting innovation at home, creating new jobs and economic opportunity and incentivizing the development of clean energy.

Since May of 2020, Avnos has grown to three locations with 24 employees spread across the United States and secured access to more than $100 million in total capital.
Avnos' Bridgewater R&D facility serves as the proving ground for its innovative hybrid direct air capture (“HDAC”) technology, which requires no water or heat from its environment. Instead, the Avnos HDAC system produces water, making it highly deployable.

Direct air capture is a promising, global opportunity with enormous economic potential. Avnos’ New Jersey facility was established to advance the carbon removal industry. The learnings from the Bridgewater R&D facility will be demonstrated at Avnos’ operating pilot plant in Bakersfield, CA (Project Alpine) and will help scale future projects around the country.
"The Seventh District of New Jersey is home to key innovators, like Avnos, that are working to make New Jersey a leader in new clean technologies," Kean said. "My tour of Avnos’ facility was insightful. I will continue to support policies that lead to economic opportunities for residents of New Jersey and around the country."
"We will work hand-in-hand with elected officials, both locally and federally, on policy that helps build solutions that remove historic carbon emissions and provide robust benefits to our communities," said Avnos CEO, Will Kain.
