FREEHOLD, NJ — A new sushi restaurant is making its way to Freehold Raceway Mall, with a unique twist on how customers’ food is delivered to their tables.
At Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, customers pay by the plate as the restaurant’s revolving conveyor belt allows diners to choose dishes as they float by their table, or have specific orders delivered straight to their table through the restaurant’s Express Belt.
Each sushi plate at Kura is set at the same price per location, officials said, with additional offers of udon, ramen, side dishes and desserts offered at varied price points.

Once customers are done with their plates, they can deposit them in the designated plate slot at their table, according to the Kura website.
Kura’s mascot, Mutenmaru, will appear on the table’s tablet screen asking for help depositing plates, and once 15 plates have been inserted, he’ll reward customers with a prize.
