MANCHESTER, NJ — Two people were injured Saturday when a pair of UTVs crashed along Pasadena Road in Manchester, police said.

Jennifer Wilczynski, 51, of Jackson, and Andrew Kutchens, 31, of Whiting, were both taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune and were listed as stable, Manchester Capt. Albert Vega said.

Wilczynski was a passenger on a black Polaris UTV driven by John Kabouchy, 53, of Jackson, and Kutchens was driving a green Polaris UTV in the area of Pasadena Road and Webbs Mill Road about 10:10 p.m. Saturday, Vega said.

The vehicles were traveling alongside each other south on Webbs Mill Road when the black Polaris abruptly left the trail to the right, with the green Polaris following closely behind, Vega said. The black Polaris crashed head-on into a tree, and the green Polaris crashed into the rear of the black Polaris, causing it to overturn, he said.

Emergency medical technicians from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services and paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital responded, along with Accurate Towing. The crash is being investigated by Ptl. Gainey of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
