MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — An electrical panel caught fire at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital in Morris Plains this week, prompting an evacuation, according to officials.

On Monday afternoon, a fire alarm was triggered at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital due to a small fire in an electrical panel in a non-patient area, according to the NJ Department of Health.

As a precaution, the affected area was evacuated promptly, according to officials.

The fire was extinguished by emergency personnel, and no injuries were reported. Additionally, there was no impact on patient care or hospital systems, authorities said.
