The series was originally meant to be a full-length feature film with Martin Scorsese ("Goodfellas, "The Departed") set to direct. The story will now be a mini-series, with Scorsese still attached as a producer, according to IMDb.

Foxx was able to take a break while filming the upcoming sports drama to hang out with Passaic Mayor Hector Carlos Lora. Lora and Foxx recorded some of their interactions and posted them to Facebook.

“Passaic, what’s up? It’s Jamie Foxx,” he says. “I just want to send out love and blessings with my main man right here (Lora).”

The two chatted about their shared interest in football and joked about politics. Foxx even brought out his Donald Trump impression, which could go toe-to-toe with his Oscar-winning Ray Charles impersonation.
