Passaic Co. Man Arrested For Shooting Teen, Cops Say

The shooting, which took place in August, put a teenager in the hospital.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A Passaic County man has been arrested for an August shooting that put a teenager in the hospital, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Anthony Moore, 43, from Paterson, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain person not to possess a weapon, hindering apprehension, and possession of a high-capacity magazine.

On Aug. 4, around 10:30 p.m., Paterson police responded to the area of Park Avenue and Summer Street on a report of a shooting.

Police arrived to find a victim, a 19-year-old Newark man, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to St. Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment of non-fatal injuries.

An investigation revealed that Moore was responsible for the shooting, police said.
