On Saturday, around 8 p.m., Wayne police were called to Truck Depot on Leo Place after an employee spotted someone trying to break in on surveillance cameras.

Police arrived to find that the business’s front door had been pried open, and spotted Gorrie inside with a large metal object, authorities said. The object was later discovered to have been used to break into the business, officials added.

Gorrie initially tried to give police a phony name, but officers recognized him, authorities said.

Gorrie was arrested and charged with burglary, hindering apprehension, possession of burglary tools, and criminal trespassing. He was taken to the Passaic County Sheriff's Office Jail to await court proceedings.

Gorrie was arrested for several burglaries in June after he was found sleeping in an abandoned bus outside Jersey City. His charges were adjudicated, and he was released, officials said.
