$760 Hiboy E-Bike Snatched From In Front Of Centereach Home

It happened at around 1 p.m. on Sept. 3, Suffolk police say.

CENTEREACH, NY — A suspect swiped an e-bike valued at $760 from the front of a Centereach home on Sept. 3, Suffolk police said.

The Hiboy e-bike was taken from in front of a Lyndon Lane home just before 1 p.m., by a man who placed it inside a black sedan and drove away, according to police.

In screen shot of security video from the home, the man can be seen shirtless with only a pair of shorts on, what appears to be Crocs, and a long ski cap with a tassel. He had a long gray beard, and was wearing what appears to be sunglasses.

Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are investigating the crime as petty larceny.
