Suburban Square Hosting Menorah Lighting, Visits With Santa

ARDMORE, PA — Ardmore's Suburban Square is celebrating the holidays by hosting special events with Santa Claus and a menorah lighting this month.

The bustling shopping center will host Santa Dec. 6, Dec. 13, and Dec. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Old Saint Nick will be available for photos for free. Those who snap a picture with Santa are encouraged to donate to Lower Merion Cares. The organization is helping local families by supplying daily care products including shampoo, conditioner and bar soap. Donations can be dropped off in the bin next to Santa.

Visitors can also write letters to Santa to be put in the Santa Express post office ahead of Christmas Day.

The air in Suburban Square will also be filled with caroling and live music.

And, on Dec. 14, Suburban Square will host a menorah lighting ceremony to kick off Hanukkah.

The Festival of Lights event begins at 5 p.m. and will feature hot apple cider, hot dogs, donuts and pretzels.

Guests will be able to participate in other activities for families throughout the event, including decorating the giant menorah, donut decorating, crafts, and more.

Suburban Square is located at Anderson and Coulter avenues in Ardmore.
