Labor Day Drunk Drivers Targeted In Bucks Co.
The Bucks County District Attorney's Office is teaming up with police departments to crack down on impaired drivers.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — "Drive sober or get pulled over."
That's the message Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn has issued for drivers over the three-day Labor Day weekend.
Police departments throughout Lower Bucks County are teaming up with the Bucks County District Attorney's to crack down on impaired and dangerous driving.

"Our increased enforcement efforts are already underway and will continue through Sept. 1. You will see more officers on the roads, conducting enhanced traffic enforcement and cracking down on all forms of impaired driving," Schorn said. "Our goal is to make sure every family in Bucks County can celebrate and get home safely. Our officers will be on patrol around the clock with zero tolerance for dangerous driving."
Schorn posted a video message to the Bucks County community with the warning: "Drive sober or get pulled over."
In 2023, nearly 40 percent of all crash fatalities nationwide over the Labor Day weekend involved an alcohol-impaired driver.

Schorn said, though, that impairment is more than just alcohol.
"If you chose to use marijuana or other drugs and get behind the wheel, you're putting lives at risk. That's why we're also reminding you, 'Drive High, Get A DUI,'" she said.
"So if you plan on celebrating please plan for a safe and sober ride home," Schorn said. "Protect yourselves, your family and your friends. Please make the right choice and don't drive impaired."
