Liberty Dining Delights with Bibimbap at Tilley Takeover

On September 10th, Liberty Dining hosted its first Tilley Takeover of the semester at the Tilley Student Center, featuring a much-anticipated campus favorite: Bibimbap. Known for its bold flavors, Bibimbap is a Korean dish that includes marinated steak or tofu, assorted fresh vegetables, a fried egg, and the choice of zesty gochujang or yum yum sauce. This premium pop-up event attracted 214 excited students and faculty, all eager to enjoy a delicious meal prepared hot and fresh by the Sodexo team.

For just a Basic Swipe + $5.99, students had the opportunity to savor this beloved dish, with additional payment options such as Dining Dollars, Flames Cash, Credit/Debit, and Cash also accepted. The popularity of the event was undeniable, with a line forming long before the start time—around 50 students and even faculty members were waiting as early as 30 minutes before opening.

The Tilley Student Center team impressed everyone with their seamless preparation and friendly service, ensuring each meal was a culinary delight. The success of the Bibimbap event reflects Liberty Dining's ongoing efforts to offer premium and diverse food experiences to the campus community. General Manager of Retail, Todd Reynolds, who witnessed the event for the first time, was particularly impressed by the turnout:

"It is our goal to bring more international food offerings to campus over the next year, and the success of this event just highlights the desire of students to have more of these types of events. We are exploring multiple culinary options in various geographic regions around the world so that we can offer a wider variety of these types of events in the future on campus."
