Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Lakewood-JBLM is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Brandon Elliott, who are making a positive impact in and around Lakewood-JBLM.
Brandon, a dedicated student leader, is making a significant impact through his involvement in student government and civic service. During his tenure at Harrison Preparatory School, Brandon served as student body president as well as the co-chair of the Lakewood Youth Council and a member of the Lakewood Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. His leadership earned him a 2023 scholarship from the Association of Washington Cities Center for Quality Communities (CQC), an honor awarded to outstanding high school seniors for their dedication to civic engagement. As one of only eight recipients statewide, he was invited to speak at the AWC Annual Conference in Spokane
Beyond his civic achievements, Brandon has won multiple academic awards in math and English, as well as the Harrison Prep International Baccalaureate Caring Award and Open-Minded Award. He has also served as a climate justice ambassador and a volunteer at the Tacoma Buddhist Center. With aspirations for a career in government and politics, Brandon hopes to one day serve in legislative office, as governor, and even as president. As he continues his education at the University of Washington, studying political science and government, heβs well on his way to achieving those dreams.
