Donate To Family Of Eagan 7th Grader Killed Biking To School
Dakota Hills Middle School student Patric Vitek was struck and killed biking Friday morning.

EAGAN, MN — Friends and community members are coming together to raise funds for the family of a 13-year-old killed while biking to school in Eagan Friday morning. Patric Vitek was hit by a car on the 1000 block of Diffley Road near Dakota Hills Middle School, which he attended.
The driver of the car was going eastbound on Diffley Road in the center lane when the collision occurred, police said. He remained at the scene after the crash.
The posted speed limit at the scene is 45 MPH.

Vitek was transported to Regions Hospital, where he was declared dead. Police did not release many details, and authorities are still investigating.
Vitek played hockey for the Eagan Hockey Association on the PeeWee A team. He is survived by his mom, Cheryl, dad, Brian, and his younger brother, Jack.
