Tuscaloosa Public Library To Kick Off Summer With Free Northport Event Saturday

The Tuscaloosa Public Library plans to kick off summer with its "Deep Dive Into Summer" event on Saturday, April 30 at Northport City Hall.

NORTHPORT, AL — The Tuscaloosa Public Library plans to kick off summer with its "Deep Dive Into Summer" event on Saturday, April 30 at Northport City Hall.

The free event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will see the inside of the municipal building decorated in a nautical, summertime theme. It will feature a dunking booth, readings, food and emergency apparatuses — like fire trucks and police vehicles — and a host of other offerings for the public.

Dive Deep Into Summer 2022 will also serve as the opener for the library's Summer Reading Program, with the following dates set for Summer Reading Programs through the end of July.

  • June 6 @ 2 p.m.
  • June 13 @ 6:30 p.m.
  • June 20 @ 2 p.m.
  • June 27 @ 2 p.m.
  • July 11 @ 6:30 p.m.
  • July 25 @ 2 p.m.
