• Urban Bloom: MiniNature Reserve is dedicated to greening Oxnard's cityscapes (vcreporter.com) — A young woman who grew up attending an El Rio church is now helping lead MiniNature Reserve, a nonprofit turning neglected Oxnard corners into native plant gardens and community learning spaces. From guerrilla plantings in traffic medians to a new, city-approved native garden at Oxnard’s downtown library, the group is steadily greening nearby urban spaces and inspiring residents to reconnect with nature.
