ā¢ Strengthening the Santa Clara River and the region's water supply (vcstar.com) ā Fillmoreās groundwater supply is directly supported by United Waterās Freeman Diversion, which is now slated for upgrades to its fish ladder and recharge systems. The project aims to better protect endangered steelhead while maintaining reliable groundwater for cities including Fillmore, Santa Paula, and Oxnard. Construction will stay within the existing footprint to limit disruption while improving long-term water resilience.

ā¢ Ventura's Beachfront Run Back for 16th Year (venturabreeze.com) ā Fillmore families benefit from City Impactās counseling and youth programs, which are funded in part by Venturaās 16th Annual Beachfront Run on May 30. The coastal half marathon, 10K, 5K, and kids run raise money for mental health care, academic support, and violence prevention serving communities including Fillmore, Piru, and Santa Paula. Local residents can run, volunteer, or sponsor. Ā Ā Ā
