I-25 Express Lanes between Berthoud and Fort Collins will start tolling drivers (kktv.com) — If you drive I-25 to or from Fort Collins, get ready to start paying tolls in the express lanes between Berthoud and the city starting next Tuesday. CDOT will post variable prices, with ExpressToll users paying less and a 30-day warning period before fines begin May 7 for weaving over solid lines. These changes could significantly affect your commute time and budget.
   

2. Turn-of-the-century carriage step saved from Spradley Barr demolition (coloradoan.com) — A historic stone carriage step from the old Spradley Barr site has been rescued and relocated to Fort Collins’ Heritage Courtyard, preserving a tangible piece of Drake farmhouse history. Residents can now see it alongside other early Fort Collins artifacts during self-guided tours, offered Wednesday through Sunday in Old Town.
   

3. Man sentenced to prison for 2024 shooting at north Fort Collins party (coloradoan.com) — A man has been sentenced to 26 years in prison for a 2024 shooting at a north Fort Collins party that seriously injured another man. Prosecutors tied him to the Larimer County crime using evidence from a later Weld County shooting, while the victim’s family and the defendant’s relatives offered emotional statements at sentencing. Restorative justice participation is authorized if the victim chooses.
   

4. Sixth Sonic Spotlight lights up The Armory, supports emerging artists - The Rocky Mountain Collegian (collegian.com) — Young musicians took over downtown as the sixth Sonic Spotlight showcase brought under-22 artists to The Armory, backed by the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery and local music partners. Fort Collins-based finalists recorded at The Blasting Room, earned prizes, and the winning band ARKWAVE now heads to perform at FoCoMX, the city’s biggest music festival, alongside hundreds of other acts this April.
