ā¢ New public library opening this August will focus on nature education (cpr.org) ā A major new Anythink Nature Library is opening Aug. 8 in Thorntonās Aylor Open Space, offering books, outdoor gear, and hands-on nature play areas. The 33,000-square-foot, eco-friendly building will feature gardens, a mud pit, an amphitheater, and Indigenous-focused programming. Residents can already suggest programs online as staff plan inclusive, nature-centered activities for all ages.

ā¢ Summer Slam Session 2026 (audacy.com) ā A free 3v3 basketball charity tournament is coming to Thornton during Thorntonfest on June 6, giving local kids ages 10ā17 a chance to play at no cost. Adult 3v3 matchups will help sponsor youth teams, and local businesses are invited to get involved with prizes, giveaways, and community impact. Ā Ā Ā
