• Man arrested after chasing group of people with machete at Blind Pass Beach (mysuncoast.com) — A Nokomis man was arrested after deputies say he chased a group of teens and young men with a machete late at night on Englewood’s Blind Pass Beach. Authorities stopped his Jeep as he tried to leave, noted signs of intoxication, and found an invalid tag, leading to multiple assault and related charges and his jailing in Sarasota County.
