• White County Commissioners express frustration with federal red tape (whitecounty.com) — Cleveland and White County leaders just approved using a $500,000 federal grant toward building a new public library in town, but must first spend about $47,550 on a detailed environmental study of the site. Commissioners voiced frustration that federal red tape forces them to use part of the grant on reviews for property that already hosts a building, though the study should wrap up in about two months.
